Sunflower Galore • New Digital Stamps & Papers

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to be here today, to share what I think is one of our most exciting digital releases, because it is one that both you and I brought together through live videos, suggestions and a strong and loyal connection. YES, it’s finally the day to share our April release, and it includes new sunflower stamps and papers, wildflowers and more! (Jump to the end of this post to see all our new sets!)

Today I’m featuring the Summer Sunflowers Digital Stamp Set and Paper Pack. Both these cards were super easy to make! In fact, I shared bits and pieces of the creative process on Instagram live videos in the past weeks. From the illustration of this stamp set to the actual card ideas, it all started off on live videos together with our followers! In fact you can watch how this background was made HERE!

The sunflowers were printed on mixed media paper using a laser printer, and colored with Zig Clean Color markers and a waterbrush. The patterned paper was printed on photo paper, and then stenciled with Deco Foil Transfer Gel. Once the gel dried I was able to run it through the laminator covered with Gold Shattered Glass Deco Foil, and it turned out like this! The foiled harlequin texture on top of the sunflower patterned papers is SO gratifying!

Quick Card Ideas using Digital Stamps & Papers

Hello friends! I thought I’d stop by and share with you a couple of quick card ideas using digital stamps and papers… Whether you love to color or not, these are cards that you can put together very quickly and they both are trendy and colorful!

For the first card, all I used was a few printed scraps from the Flutter Away Digital Paper Pack and a digital sentiment from the stamp set with the same name.

To make this card:

  1. Tear 1″ strips from different patterned papers. They don’t need to be exactly the same.
  2. Attach the strips to a black card base. The card base color should contrast the digital papers you use, but it doesn’t have to be black necessarily.
  3. Print and die cut a digital sentiment stamp. A round die cut looks great with this simple design.
  4. Mount the sentiment with foam squares on the center of the card.
  5. Optional: Adhere some sequins.

This is possibly the easiest, fastests, and most striking card I’ve made! Love how all the colors stand out. If you want to try out these digital sets click HERE and HERE.

For the second card, we’re going for a rainbow themed design… You’ll need the Rainbow Vibes Digital Paper Pack together with the Color my World Digital Stamp Set.

To make this card:

  1. Print a Rainbow Vibes stripe sheet using an inkjet printer, and cut it into a 4.25″ by 5.5″ panel.
  2. Attach the panel to a white card base of the same size.
  3. Next, print a sentiment on white cardstock and cut a panel 5.5″ long from it, making sure the sentiment is centered on the piece.
  4. Mount the sentiment panel to the card using foam tape.
  5. Finally, print 2 paintbrushes from the same digital stamp set, fussy cut and quickly color them. Attach the images to the card using foam squares.
  6. Optional: Adhere some sequins.

As an alternative option you could foil your digital stamp images before adding them to the card. You can do that by simply printing the images with a laser printer. The toner from the printer will make the foil attach when ran through a laminator. I used a Gold Shattered Glass Deco Foil on the paintbrushes and did some light watercoloring using Zig markers. (Foil will resist the watercoloring.)

Love how the vertical sentiment panel balances the bold rainbow patterned paper. The painbrushes frame the sentiment and add an extra fun touch to the design. If you want to try out these digital sets click HERE and HERE.

I hope you find these ideas useful for your crafts! There’s an infinite amount of quick designs that are possible using digital stamps and papers, and I would love you to be inspired to experiment and create with them!

That’s all for now. Have a crafty weekend! Until next time.

Cocoa Cup Christmas Card using Digital Stamps

Hello! Today’s Christmas card is a combination of elements that ended up looking so very elegant and festive. It wasn’t planned that way… In fact, I had colored this image quite a bit ago and had forgotten about it! Yesterday, I decided to use if for a card, because I totally love this cocoa cup digital stamp!

I watercolored this stamp from the Christmas Cheer digital stamp using Arteza Real Brush Pens and a Sharpie white paint marker for added details. I layered the sentiment and sized it to fit inside the cup and then printed it on Canson Mixed Media Paper, using a laser printer. To be able to watercolor the image, I heat set the toner using a heat gun, just to make sure the image will remain intact while I start adding water and color to it.

One thing I also tend to do is seal the watercolored image with a fixative spray. That will protect your work and avoid any accidents that could ruin your coloring or the card itself once it’s  done. This time I used Therm O Web’s Glitter Spray which will not only protect your image but it will also add lots of sparkle with micro glitter goodness!

For the background I basically created an inset frame using Echo Park’s A Perfect Christmas patterned papers and Spellbinders dies. For the inner frame I also layered a Brutus Monroe Distress Circle Clear Designer Toner Sheet foiled with Brutus Monroe Tide Pool Foil Transfer Sheets.

To finish my card I added a big triple bow on one side using white seam binding ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I also added some Nuvo Crystal Drops just for fun.

If you love this digital stamp set as much as I do, make sure to come check out our new bundles! We have put together a few amazing digi stamp bundles and they’re on SALE!
