Detailed Watercoloring with the new Iris Digital Stamp Set

Hello! It’s been a while, so I couldn’t miss the chance to stop by and share a new card idea and stamp set with all of you. Actually, this is my first card in months… Life seriously took over and kept me away from crafting. Nevertheless, if you follow me on social media you’ve heard from me and our design team at Graciellie Design…

So far, during the month of January we’ve released 4 new digital stamp sets, a monthly bundle, a digital paper pack and a printable sticker set… Yeah, we’ve been busy! Today, we’re sharing a brand new set, called Family Love… We’ve been showing sneak peeks on social, and everyone has been excited about our new Iris Latifolia flower… This flower digi stamp is very detailed, and I was inspired by a beautiful collection of botanical illustrations while drawing it!

Here’s is the final flower I watercolored using Kuretake Zig Real Brush Markers! I mounted it on a 3D embossed card base, that I made using a Spellbinders folder called Celtic Weave…

I really took my time with this one and added lots of details… I spent a good amount of time on the shading and added highlights with white goache paint and a sharpie white acrylic paint marker… If you want to see pictures of my progress, click here to visit my Instagram.

Quick Card Ideas using Digital Stamps & Papers

Hello friends! I thought I’d stop by and share with you a couple of quick card ideas using digital stamps and papers… Whether you love to color or not, these are cards that you can put together very quickly and they both are trendy and colorful!

For the first card, all I used was a few printed scraps from the Flutter Away Digital Paper Pack and a digital sentiment from the stamp set with the same name.

To make this card:

  1. Tear 1″ strips from different patterned papers. They don’t need to be exactly the same.
  2. Attach the strips to a black card base. The card base color should contrast the digital papers you use, but it doesn’t have to be black necessarily.
  3. Print and die cut a digital sentiment stamp. A round die cut looks great with this simple design.
  4. Mount the sentiment with foam squares on the center of the card.
  5. Optional: Adhere some sequins.

This is possibly the easiest, fastests, and most striking card I’ve made! Love how all the colors stand out. If you want to try out these digital sets click HERE and HERE.

For the second card, we’re going for a rainbow themed design… You’ll need the Rainbow Vibes Digital Paper Pack together with the Color my World Digital Stamp Set.

To make this card:

  1. Print a Rainbow Vibes stripe sheet using an inkjet printer, and cut it into a 4.25″ by 5.5″ panel.
  2. Attach the panel to a white card base of the same size.
  3. Next, print a sentiment on white cardstock and cut a panel 5.5″ long from it, making sure the sentiment is centered on the piece.
  4. Mount the sentiment panel to the card using foam tape.
  5. Finally, print 2 paintbrushes from the same digital stamp set, fussy cut and quickly color them. Attach the images to the card using foam squares.
  6. Optional: Adhere some sequins.

As an alternative option you could foil your digital stamp images before adding them to the card. You can do that by simply printing the images with a laser printer. The toner from the printer will make the foil attach when ran through a laminator. I used a Gold Shattered Glass Deco Foil on the paintbrushes and did some light watercoloring using Zig markers. (Foil will resist the watercoloring.)

Love how the vertical sentiment panel balances the bold rainbow patterned paper. The painbrushes frame the sentiment and add an extra fun touch to the design. If you want to try out these digital sets click HERE and HERE.

I hope you find these ideas useful for your crafts! There’s an infinite amount of quick designs that are possible using digital stamps and papers, and I would love you to be inspired to experiment and create with them!

That’s all for now. Have a crafty weekend! Until next time.

You Bubble my World • Deco Foil & Glitter Bubble Tea Card Idea

Happy Monday everyone! Today I’m sharing a cute -and extra shimmery- card, using a new digital stamp set called Bubbly Feels. This bubble tea set is SO much fun! It comes with a bubble tea image, plus a little tag, and lots of themed sentiments to coordinate with!

I have to admit I had too much fun making this card! First, I printed the image on a laser printer, using smooth white cardstock. Then I covered it with Gold Deco Foil, and ran it through a laminator. Once foiled, I colored the bubble tea with Paul Rubens Glitter Watercolors, using the colors Pearl Platinum, Rose Red, and Deep Interference Red. LOVE all the shimmer!

For the background, I simply die cut a panel, and then added the bubble tea silhouette die cut (which can be easily done by uploading the stamp to your Cricut Design Space as a cut file). I used a printed sheet from the Pink & Blue Digital Paper Pack to cut the bubble tea silhouette. I also layered the background with different strips of washi tape. Finally, I added a bit of wash on the top right corner of the card using Rose Red glitter watercolor. I mounted the panel on a Gina K. Designs Bubblegum Premium Cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card idea! I can’t with the gold foiling… It makes everything look perfect! PLUS, this new bubble tea set is too much fun… Oh my!

Floral Balloons Birthday Card with Hey Friend Stamps

Happy Friday! It doesn’t get happier than this… A super colorful, birthday card with a fun twist. Today I have a card using the new stamps from the kit Hey Friend as balloons! This is one of my latest kits for Unity Stamp Co. and it is one of the most versatile kits I’ve designed… All images and sentiments included in this set can be used and mixed in different ways, allowing you to create unique projects with it every time!

This week I’ve been sharing a few videos on Instagram showing how I colored and put together this card. If you want to take a peek make sure to follow me over there.

This was my first time using the new Amalgam Ink and it does everything it is supposed to do and more. I hand stamped the floral elements on Canson Watercolor paper and also the sentiments on vellum, which I then heat embossed in black. (This ink will dry on vellum in case you’re wondering.) I didn’t need to set the ink at all to start watercoloring the flowers with Zig Clean Color markers, which is great.

I die cut the frame from an Echo Park Summer Dreams patterned paper using an old but cute Spellbinders die called Diamond Effects. I adhered a piece of Polka Dots Clear Toner Sheet behind the frame, foiled with Summer Rainbow Deco Foil, just for fun, no shaker this time.

I fussy cut the flowers with Westcott precision scissors and added them to the card front using XL Tape Runner and 3D Zots by Therm O web. I tried to make the flowers look like balloons, so I used them upside down, adhering them as a cluster.

To finish my card I added the vellum banners with the sentiments and a bunch of pretty sequins by Unity.

Hope you enjoyed! Make sure to visit me on Instagram to watch how I put together this card! Also stay tuned for a second post coming up later today! Until then.

Happiness is Homemade – New Stamp Kits with Unity Stamp Co.

Yay! A happy Summer hello everyone! Today I’m excited to be back with new rubber stamp kits for you! I’m thrilled to be introducing together with Unity Stamp Co. 3 new kits that are available now! From an interactive seed packet to a fun and fresh mason jar lemonade, this release includes some beautiful must-haves!

I love playing with color and this beautiful mason jar lemonade from my new kit Happiness is Homemade is the kind of stamp that will allow you to do just that! Glitter, foiled washi, patterned paper and watercolors, this card was so much fun to make!

Happiness is Homemade comes with a mason jar lemonade and also 2 tags to which you can stamp the sentiments that come with the kit. You can mix and match the elements or even use the tag stamps to personalize your card or gift with the recipient’s name. Just lots of fun!UnityStampCompany_HappinessisHomemade_LemonadeCard_GraciellieDesign_1

The stamped image is the main focus of the card. I colored it with Zig Clean Color markers using them as watercolors, mixing yellows and pinks and greens. Next I used a Uni-Ball Signo white gel pen to add details. I couldn’t resist embellishing the lemonade with rhinestone stickers and Gold Halo Medium Glitter. I adhered the glitter with Mixed Media Adhesive by Therm O Web and tried to make it look as if it were floating inside the mason jar. I also added lots of dimension the the stamped images adhering them with 3D Zots.

To make the background I watercolored a white card base with a pink Zig marker and then started layering it with stripes of blue patterned paper and pieces of gold foiled washi tape. I also cut a circle from yellow patterned paper with the largest circle die from the Double Stitch Design set by Gina K. for Therm O Web. That circle gives you the feel of a sunny Summer day and it is just a simple yet fun element to add. All the patterned papers used for this card come from the new Hello Summer paper collection by Simple Stories (my fav lately).

As always, I’ve included some very nice sentiments in these kits… I’m all about the sentiments and I hope you love these new kits as much as we do at Unity. Make sure to join the new release live video release party RIGHT NOW on Unity’s Facebook page and their blog hop for a chance to win some new stamps and see lots and lots of inspiration by the design team over at their blog.

Extra Caffeinated Wishes! Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Happy Friday! So glad you’re here. We are joining the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and to celebrate we have a special pre-release featuring a new coffee themed digital stamp set at Graciellie Design, called Coffee & Flowers. (Click here for details.)

I squeezed some time out of my crazy schedule to join the fun! I am sharing my very first card with this fresh new digi set. Plus, if you scroll down you’ll find more project ideas some of our designers are sharing today also!

This cute image allows you to play with lots color! I’ve been doing gardening in the past couple of months and I was very inspired when I drew this little bouquet. The 4 flowers in this stamp are: Chrysanthemum, Poppy, Impatiens and -my latest favorite- Torenia.

I colored the flowers with many different colors from the original Spectrum Noir markers line and finished them with a touch of Sparkle marker. The background was really easy to put together. First I used a stencil from The Crafter’s Workshop called Micro Bricks to apply some Deco Foil Transfer Gel by Therm O Web. I let the gel dry and then covered it with a Deco Foil Amber Watercolor Transfer Sheet and ran all through the laminator covered with some Parchment Paper.

I included 4 creative sentiments in this set and I decided to print one of them -“Sending extra caffeinated wishes”- to create a banner which I then added behind the image and across my card front. I love the overall look of this card and I hope you like it too!

Making Valentine’s Day Cards with Gina K. Designs & Therm O Web

Welcome to my first video tutorial of the year! I’m glad you made it here! I’m sharing a new project with Therm O Web… A playful and fun set of Valentine’s cards. I’ll show you how I created them using just 1 Foil-Mates sheet, 1 Fancy Foil sheet, some cardstock and ink!

Video Tutorial

I’ve prepared a video tutorial too so you can watch how I made each card! Click below to watch or click here to visit my YouTube channel and watch it there! If you want to save the list of supplies I used, please click here and visit Therm O Web’s blog. You’ll also find more project photos there!

You’ll notice that each card idea came to life as a consequence of the scraps I was left with by the previous card… I love that! I love that you can stretch your supplies and use every single piece to create something pretty! Also, I used dye ink as watercolor to create these fun splattered background… I may have been feeling adventurous while preparing this tutorial as I did as much as I possibly could with just a few supplies!

A Little Note about this Digital Stamp
This Valentine’s sentiment is from my digital stamp collection and it comes in a set called Floral Heart & Banners.

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year’s Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I’m back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I’m sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts… I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to!

The usual theme for New Year’s cards is usually monochromatic, metallic… But, what if we used colorful Holiday colors instead? Why not? Well, this time you’ll see me use papers from Simple Stories Very Merry Collection.

Video Tutorial
This is short and sweet video tutorial where I show you how I put together this card. Really with card designing the hard part is figuring out what you want your card to look like in the end but once you have figured out what elements you’ll be adding and where you will be placing them the card comes together pretty fast. So the behind the scenes may not have been as quick but that is just to make the process easier for you! Click below to watch.

List of Supplies
Find the complete list on supplies on Therm O Web blog, with links so you can easily click and take a closer look to what I used on this card. I also try to always include additional supplies from my stash used to make a project in case you’re curious. Once you’re at TOW’s blog, make sure to check out the incredible collection of Holiday projects the designers and I have been sharing all month long! I’m sure you’ll find something you like! Make sure to pin those so you can try them out later!

That’s all for now, in case I’m not back this week I wish you a wonderful Christmas and I hope you enjoy the rest of the week surrounded by your loved ones in peace and harmony like it should be! Until next time!

Winter Snow Cards – Stenciled Snowflakes with TCW Stencils & Therm O Web

I’m back with a new idea for Christmas, with a set of stenciled snowflakes card. I love winter themed cards and these backgrounds turned out so nice with the blue watercolored base. I think you’ll find these cards are really easy to make. I prepared a short video to show you how I put made them.

All products used were sent by The Crafter’s Workshop and Therm O Web. Nevertheless, all opinions on this post are my own.

Video Tutorial
Click below to watch in just a few minutes how I put together these snowy cards! Make sure to visit The Crafter’s Workshop blog to take note of all the supplies used!
I tested a couple of modeling pastes from TCW and I found that the Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste is great for layering stenciled textures. As you can see on the picture below the paste held its shape on top of the Decofoil Gel and you can’t see a ghost trace of the previous stenciled and foiled textured.

Hope you love this idea and that you find it useful during this Holiday Season. For more creative ideas for all your crafts projects subscribe to the blog (on sidebar). For more project ideas using stencils make sure to follow The Crafter’s Workshop! That’s all for now. Until next time!
