Hello there! Gracie here… Welcome to a brand new digital stamp (and paper) release! We’re excited you’re here! We’re extra happy to share the new You Go Girl Digital Stamp Set and the Botanical Dream Digital Patterned Paper Pack… Swoon! Shop all our new digital sets HERE.

My card for today was such a joy to make! I have to confess this is my first slim card ever and I totally understand now what all the hype is… Wow… It really is such a beautiful size to work with on card designs! I worked with Deco Foil and Spectrum Noir markers to create this botanical inspired card. More details below…

It’s Ok to Take a Break Botanical Card Tutorial

I started out by printing our new floral and sentiments on smooth medium weight white cardstock with a laser printer. The images are resizable so it’s easy to plan your design ahead. I set up all the images I want to use on a simple program such as Word and that way I can print everything on one same sheet. (This is my proven no waste printing technique.) The toner a laser printer works with will allow you to foil images on a laminator. I used a Mini Minc to foil the stamps with Gold Deco Foil (which is my favorite foil to use with this alcohol marker coloring). Nevertheless, any laminator will work for the task (even THIS ONE).

I used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to color this hand illustrated digi. I used MG3, PP3, PP2, PP1 for the flower and AG1. AG2, AG3, AG4 for the leaves. I also used GY1 for the dark yellow accents. I used clean strokes to add shadows to the petals and leaves trying not to blend the darkest hue all the way and keeping a few areas white or nearly white to add light to the coloring. By the way, the Deco Foil won’t damage your marker tip if it’s been foiled and transferred on toner. In fact it acts as a resist when using watercoloring or other water activating media. If you notice that you’ve stained the foil color with during your coloring simply use a cotton swab and a bit of alcohol to clean off any staining. To finish off the flowers I used a Sharpie acrylic paint marker to add white splatters and added some Crystalline Drops to the petals and leaves.

This 8.5″ x 3.5″ slim card base was cut from GK Premium Cardstock in Grass Green. For the card background I printed a sheet from our new Botanical Dream Patterned Papers. This one sheet comes with florals on top, framing this fun grid notebook pattern which allowed me to layer the colored image easily. I used Sticky Dots sheets to adhere the patterned paper and GK Foam Tape to attach the foiled flower. Love the layers and dimension this created for the florals!

For the sentiment I decided to go for this sweet “It’s ok to take a break” phrase which was also printed in toner and foiled with Gold Deco Foil. I used a discontinued MFT Die-namics mini notebook page die to cut it and attached it to the bottom of the slim card using Foam Adhesive Sheets, which adds just the perfect amount of dimension. The sentiment, florals and background are at different levels balancing each other on the final card design. And because there can never be enough bling and shimmer I finished off the card with a few iridescent sequins I attached using Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive! Oh, and of course I ended up rounding all 4 corners of the slim card with a corner punch.

Hang in There Wood Sign Stamps & Quick Tutorial

Hello friends! I’m stopping by to share this week’s featured card for our newest digital stamp release! This fun design was so satisfying to color and put together… I really enjoy coloring wood textures and this was no exception!

Our new set is called Hang in There… It comes with this fun wood sign stamp that you can easily customize! You can use the sign as is or use the wood plank alone or even use the sign without the mini floral swag… Endless possibilities with this one! The sentiments included work perfectly with this illustration and are also great for the times we’re living!

My card for today is super pretty and simple:

1. First I printed the image on lightweight cardstock using a @brothercraftsusa inkjet printer.

2. Next, I colored the image with @spectrumnoir alcohol markers and fussy cut it.

3. I used @wowembossing embossing freestyle tool to add distressed details to the wood sign, heating embossing with @catherinepooler Sage embossing glitter.

4. I dry embossed a white panel with a @teamspellbinders brick embossing folder.

5. I teared some pieces of @echoparkpaper patterned paper and attached it to part of the embossed panel.

6. Finally I mounted the wood sign using foam tape, and adhered the panel to a card base using liquid adhesive.

Oversized Flower Stamps • Using Pigment Powders & Ink Sprays to Color

Hey everyone! We’ve been sharing so many new stamps over at the shop every week and I’ve been very active on social media… So I thought I’d stop by and share a quick step by step on my latest card featuring our latest digital stamp set called Far Away Hugs Digital Stamp Set.

Oversized floral stamps are in! All of us in the design team love to resize and print flowers at around 4″ or 5″ wide and use them off the border of our cards. It’s a bold and trendy look and it’s always fun to create cards with that technique!GraciellieDesign_pinitheart

Check out how I cut this large flower in half to frame my card and create this layered effect!

1. I printed the flower on @cansonpaper_northamerica mixed media paper on a laser printer.

2. I colored the image first with @colourcraftltd brusho and activated the pigment with @ranger_ink Distress Ink Sprays instead of plain water. Finally, I added shading and depth to the petals with an @artezaofficial brush pen.

3. For the card I die cut an Art Deco diamond shape from black cardstock with a @teamspellbinders die and cut it in half.

4. I cut in half the flower and adhered it to the die cut pieces using @thermoweb black foam tape.

5. I attached the layered pieces to each side of the card front vertically to create a shifted frame.

6. I also printed a “far away hugs” sentiment on an inkjet printer on plain white layering weight cardstock, die cut it with a @thermoweb single stitch design circle die and attached it with black foam squares to the center of the card.

7. Finally, I used a @sharpie white paint pen to splatter white dots and create the final artsy look on this card.

Hope this step by step tutorial was helpful! This new stamp set is called Far Away Hugs and it’s available now, instant download and ready to print and create with! Stop by the shop and take a peek!

Up to 60% OFF SALE

A Cup of Love Handmade Card: Layered Watercolor Wash Background with Deco Foil Clear Toner Sheets and NEW Coffee Stamps

Hello friends! I’m back on the blog with a new card idea! My goal this year is to be able to draw and design a new set each week, and so far so good! The team and I are having so much fun creating! Today’s new set is actually a fun, coffee themed collection called A Cup of Love that comes with a cute Coffee Cup and Heart Sugar Cookies illustrations and sentiments you can use all year round!

For this card, I used 2 separate backgrounds I made a couple years ago and ended up not using… One of them is a watercolor wash on white cardstock (you can watch how I made that HERE) and the second is a stenciled Clear Deco Foil Toner Sheet, using gold embossing paste. I adhered the clear sheet onto the watercolored panel and then mounted this striking combo on a white cardbase.

The image was printed on a Brother inkjet printer, and colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I added micro rhinestone stickers to the sugar cookies and some Spectrum Noir Sparkle in clear to the whipped cream and sentiment tag (which I don’t think you’re able to actually see on the pictures). I mounted the image using 3D Zots which works great for deeply textured surfaces!

And that is it for now! If you love coffee and collect coffee stamps, this set is for you! Be sure to stop by our digital shop and get the new A Cup of Love set 10% OFF, everything else is also marked down for you! Click here to shop.

Thanks so much for stopping by! As always, with each new release we’re hosting TWO WEEKLY GIVEAWAY, going on right now HERE and HERE. Be sure to join for a chance to win a gift card to the shop!

Bye for now. 🙂

Detailed Watercoloring with the new Iris Digital Stamp Set

Hello! It’s been a while, so I couldn’t miss the chance to stop by and share a new card idea and stamp set with all of you. Actually, this is my first card in months… Life seriously took over and kept me away from crafting. Nevertheless, if you follow me on social media you’ve heard from me and our design team at Graciellie Design…

So far, during the month of January we’ve released 4 new digital stamp sets, a monthly bundle, a digital paper pack and a printable sticker set… Yeah, we’ve been busy! Today, we’re sharing a brand new set, called Family Love… We’ve been showing sneak peeks on social, and everyone has been excited about our new Iris Latifolia flower… This flower digi stamp is very detailed, and I was inspired by a beautiful collection of botanical illustrations while drawing it!

Here’s is the final flower I watercolored using Kuretake Zig Real Brush Markers! I mounted it on a 3D embossed card base, that I made using a Spellbinders folder called Celtic Weave…

I really took my time with this one and added lots of details… I spent a good amount of time on the shading and added highlights with white goache paint and a sharpie white acrylic paint marker… If you want to see pictures of my progress, click here to visit my Instagram.

My favorite set ever?

Considering that I’m the one illustrating each of these stamp sets, each new set I finish becomes my new favorite, usually up until the next beauty comes… But there’s one set that I have used over, and over, and that I enjoy coloring so much, because of the simplicity of the illustration, and how open the floral is… I love to watercolor it, and I’ve done so several times after its release… It’s one of those sets, that will allow you to play with different coloring techniques … It’s the Your Kindness digital stamp set

Hey there! This is Gracie from Graciellie Design, and I’m back with a new video, and this time it’s a review for the new Arrtx Alcohol Markers. I was recently sent a box of 80 Arrtx markers to try out, and I thought I’d share the process with you today. Arrtx is a new coloring media brand that is still building their collection, and they are bringing very interesting products to the market at a VERY affordable price. Before I go, we have an exciting GIVEAWAY to share. Arrtx has given me an extra set of 80 markers to give away to 1 lucky winner. For a chance to win make sure you’re subscribed to:
