Hey there! This is Gracie from Graciellie Design, and I’m back with a new video, and this time it’s a review for the new Arrtx Alcohol Markers. I was recently sent a box of 80 Arrtx markers to try out, and I thought I’d share the process with you today. Arrtx is a new coloring media brand that is still building their collection, and they are bringing very interesting products to the market at a VERY affordable price. Their products can be found on Amazon.
I thought the best way to test these markers was by doing some coloring, and that is exactly what we’ll do next. I printed this image from Graciellie Design’s digital shop, from a stamp set called Nourish and Flourish. Click below to watch the entire coloring process, colors used, and more:
Before I go, we have an exciting GIVEAWAY to share. Arrtx has given me an extra set of 80 markers to give away to 1 lucky winner. For a chance to win make sure you’re subscribed to:
Happy Friday! It doesn’t get happier than this… A super colorful, birthday card with a fun twist. Today I have a card using the new stamps from the kit Hey Friend as balloons! This is one of my latest kits for Unity Stamp Co. and it is one of the most versatile kits I’ve designed… All images and sentiments included in this set can be used and mixed in different ways, allowing you to create unique projects with it every time!
This week I’ve been sharing a few videos on Instagram showing how I colored and put together this card. If you want to take a peek make sure to follow me over there.
This was my first time using the new Amalgam Ink and it does everything it is supposed to do and more. I hand stamped the floral elements on Canson Watercolor paper and also the sentiments on vellum, which I then heat embossed in black. (This ink will dry on vellum in case you’re wondering.) I didn’t need to set the ink at all to start watercoloring the flowers with Zig Clean Color markers, which is great.
I die cut the frame from an Echo Park Summer Dreams patterned paper using an old but cute Spellbinders die called Diamond Effects. I adhered a piece of Polka Dots Clear Toner Sheet behind the frame, foiled with Summer Rainbow Deco Foil, just for fun, no shaker this time.
I fussy cut the flowers with Westcott precision scissors and added them to the card front using XL Tape Runner and 3D Zots by Therm O web. I tried to make the flowers look like balloons, so I used them upside down, adhering them as a cluster.
To finish my card I added the vellum banners with the sentiments and a bunch of pretty sequins by Unity.
Hope you enjoyed! Make sure to visit me on Instagram to watch how I put together this card! Also stay tuned for a second post coming up later today! Until then.
Happy Saturday! I wanted to stop by and share with you a shaker card I made recently with the new Girl in a Garden rubber stamp kit by Unity. It was so much fun to make. I colored the image live on Instagram and now I’m sharing the finished card! (Make sure to follow me on IG so you can join my live videos too!)
I colored this pretty girl with Kuretake Zig Clean Color watercolor markers. I layered several colors from Lilac to Pink and even Flesh Color to get all the undertones you see on the finished card. I didn’t use watercolor paper this time, just a cardstock I get locally that happens to hold water nicely but watercolor paper would have worked amazing too. I waited for each layer of color to dry, to then come back and add more shading, especially to the skirt.
This kit comes with add-on elements that you can stamp together with the girl image. In this case, the basket was stamped and colored separately and fussy cut and adhered afterwards. I used Mustard and Oatmeal to color the basket and Lilac and Light Violet for the Lavender. Once the basket was added to the girl image, I colored the sky with Light Blue. That final detail completed the scene perfectly.
When I finished coloring these images I knew exactly what I wanted to make with them. I used a window die, that I altered to make smaller, and made the stamped image look as the view from outside. The window is also a shaker. It is a thinner shaker so I didn’t add that many sequins, but that’s ok because more sequins would have covered the girl completely. These beautiful sequins are also from Unity and the acetate is a Clear Toner Sheet from Therm O Web.
For the card background, I wanted to make it look like the interior of the house, and so I played with the idea of wallpaper and white crown moulding, using patterned papers and a strip of white cardstock scored manually. I think this is a fun way to complete the card and goes along perfect with the scene created with the stamps.
To finish, I stamped and heat emboss the sentiment “May your feet take you where your heart wants to go” in silver on a piece of Parchment Vellum from Paper Temptress (which stamps beautifully for detailed stamps such as this sentiment).

Happy Friday! We totally forgot to include a giveaway in our new release post yesterday, so we are having one TODAY! Plus, we’ll list some fun ideas to try out with our new digi stamp sets with samples by the design team!
As a reminder, we’ve released 3 new sets and they are all fun, happy and sweet, including handdrawn images that you’ll want to color over and over again! We’ve also included fantastic sentiments that are always thoughtful and meaningful.
5 Techniques to try out
Next, we want to show you a few amazing ideas to use with your digital stamps, especially if you’re planning on getting our new sets!
Make a Patterned Background
Laurie from ScrapwithLaurie used one of the sentiments on the new Sweetness Digi Set to create a patterned background for her card. This technique is super easy and you can copy and paste the stamp easily on any editing program such as PicMonkey and Photoshop but you could even achieve a similar look using Microsoft Word. Our new digis come with a transparent background so that will allow you to overlap the images easily.
I was inspired by Laurie’s idea and created a patterned background but instead used foil and acetate! Our digital stamps work great with Deco Foil products and for my card I printed the background -that I put together quite easily- using a Samsung M2020W Laser Printer. This kind of printer uses toner to print which activates with heat and makes Deco Foil adhere to wherever there’s toner. In this case, after I printed the pattern on a Clear Toner Sheet, I covered it with a piece of Gold Deco Foil Transfer Sheet and then ran it through the Laminator. The effect is always amazing… You can use your foiled transparency as a layer or even make a shaker card with it!
Create a Layout
Helen Gullett came up with an outstanding idea… She actually used the new floral vignette from the set You Matter to create a frame that she printed as one piece and colored around a verse. This technique makes half the work for you even before you start printing your images. This floral vignette is the kind of image that will allow you to play on your editing program to create patterns and layouts, since it is meant to be connected like this to create a continuous pattern.
Smudge Proof Watercoloring
Many of you may wonder how we manage to watercolor our digital stamps without making a mess, since usually the ink from printers smudges or melts when water touches it. Well, there are many ways to do this and our designers always come up with super creative ideas. Helen, for example, says that after she prints her images using a regular inkjet printer she waits a day for it to dry completely and that allows her to use watercolors without problem. I, on the other hand, love to use my laser printer instead and what I do to set the toner is use a heat tool until the toner looks shiny (almost like heat setting embossing powder). This technique works great for me and that is how I watercolor layer after layer on my printed digital stamps.
Add lots of Sparkle
One thing I’ve discovered while preparing my latest samples is that sometimes and image needs a particular boost of color and embellishments to come to life. The latest mason jar watermelon from the new digi set Happiness is the proof of that. After coloring your image, try adding bits of glitter, sequins and rhinestones here and there to add more interest, depth and movement to your image. It doesn’t have to be chunks of it, just finishing details here and there. In this case, the sparkle elements work particularly well because this mason jar contains liquid and the transparent coloring plus the glitter and other embellishments truly bring the image to life. In case you’re wondering, I used Mixed Media Adhesive by Therm O Web for the task!
Hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about some of our go-to techniques using digi stamps. We want YOU to have a chance to try this techniques out, so today we are giving away two $10 gift cards to the shop. We are giving those away here. A happy Summer hello! Today is an extra sweet day because we are releasing 3 new LOVELY digital stamp sets that we are all in love with here at Graciellie Design. The girls and I will be sharing inspiration projects featuring these new stamps and today I wanted to share all I’ve be working on behind the scenes!
Our 3 new digi sets are fresh, fun, all things happy and sweet, and also perfect for Summer. I included lots of meaningful sentiments to these sets so we’ve got you covered for lots of different occasions.
You Matter is one of our new digital stamp sets and here is my take using this lovely floral vignette. This flower reminds us a lot of an Ohio Spiderwort! This handdrawn stamp can be resized and aligned to create frames or borders and it comes with beautiful, encouraging sentiments! Printing it oversized and layering it on a patterned background with the same flower gave me the perfect base for a loose watercolored card.
I made a background adding multiple flowers randomly on Photoshop, but you could as well use programs like PicMonkey or even Microsoft Word to achieve this same look! I printed separate flowers that I colored with Zig Clean Color Markers -very loosely- and then fussy cut with Westcott Precision Tip Scissors. I did some ink smooshing using the same markers I used to color the focal flowers and then adhered the fussy cut images using 3D Zots for a simple yet striking layered effect.
For cards like this one I like to keep it simple and so I finished it off with a sentiment banner added across the bottom of the card front and some rhinestone stickers. All these images were printed with a Samsung M2020W Laser Printer and heat set with a heat tool prior to watercoloring.
Next, is probably one of my favorite sets ever. It is called Sweetnessand it is an absolute joy to color and play with! It comes with an ice cream bouquet or flower ice cream and some amazing sentiments! I got brand new sequins from Unity Stamp Co. and of course I couldn’t resist making a shaker background! I played with the image again to create a backgound but this time I printed it on Deco Foil Clear Toner Sheets and then ran it through the Laminatorwith Gold Deco Foil Transfer Sheets to make it look like this. (Best printable acetate I’ve ever tried out! Works great with our digital stamps.)
As you can see I mixed a bunch of different sequins packs (LOL). These new sequins are magical and so irresistible! I also added some Halo Medium (or chunky) glitter by Stampendous to the shaker, which is my go to glitter these days. To seal and complete the shaker backround, all I did is peel off the backing from the foam adhesive attach the foiled Clear Toner Sheet and then cover it with a thin frame cut from a blue patterned paper from the Echo Park Cartabella’s Summer Splash Collection. To cut this thin frame I layered 2 A2 Matting Basics Dies by Spellbinders. I attached it with a Sticky Dot Mini Tape Runner by Therm O Web and voila!
For the ice cream bouquet, I again watercolored it using Kuretake Zig Clean Color markers and fussy cut it with precision scissors. To make the card even more fun, I added a stitched tag die cut from patterned paper. The tag die is from Therm O Web’s Decorative Tag Set by Gina K and the paper is from the Echo Park Summer Dreams pad. I added a piece of white ribbon to the tag, which I tucked underneath the floral ice cream. To finish this off I added a banner with the printed birthday sentiment to one side of the card and adhered some sequins here and there with Mixed Media Adhesive.
My third card features one more new digital stamp set called Happiness. This one comes with a super fun to color mason jar watermelon juice and lots of special sentiments. This set coordinates with Unity’s Happiness is Homemade (with the mason jar lemonade), and you could mix and match sentiments and images if you want to, since they were designed to work together.
Again, I watercolored this cute mason jar with Zig Clean Color markers. For my mason jar stamps, I like to layer different colors and also glitter, sequins and rhinestones to add movement to the interior. Somehow the different hues and the sparkle bring the mason jar to life, every time!
As for the card layout, this one is quite simple. I used patterned papers and a piece of gold foiled Doodles Deco Foil Clear Toner Sheet, all layered and then added the sentiment as a tag, sideways, exactly like I did for the previous card!
That’s it for today! It was quite a long post but I am so happy to have a chance to share some of the details and a bit of the process behind these cards and of course let you know about the new digi stamps! You HAVE to try this out! As long as you have access to a computer and a printer, or to someone who can print the images for you, you are all set! AND, since these are an instant download, you’ll be able to color and play right away! What is not to love!
Yay! A happy Summer hello everyone! Today I’m excited to be back with new rubber stamp kits for you! I’m thrilled to be introducing together with Unity Stamp Co. 3 new kits that are available now! From an interactive seed packet to a fun and fresh mason jar lemonade, this release includes some beautiful must-haves!
I love playing with color and this beautiful mason jar lemonade from my new kit Happiness is Homemade is the kind of stamp that will allow you to do just that! Glitter, foiled washi, patterned paper and watercolors, this card was so much fun to make!
Happiness is Homemade comes with a mason jar lemonade and also 2 tags to which you can stamp the sentiments that come with the kit. You can mix and match the elements or even use the tag stamps to personalize your card or gift with the recipient’s name. Just lots of fun!
The stamped image is the main focus of the card. I colored it with Zig Clean Color markers using them as watercolors, mixing yellows and pinks and greens. Next I used a Uni-Ball Signo white gel pen to add details. I couldn’t resist embellishing the lemonade with rhinestone stickers and Gold Halo Medium Glitter. I adhered the glitter with Mixed Media Adhesive by Therm O Web and tried to make it look as if it were floating inside the mason jar. I also added lots of dimension the the stamped images adhering them with 3D Zots.
To make the background I watercolored a white card base with a pink Zig marker and then started layering it with stripes of blue patterned paper and pieces of gold foiled washi tape. I also cut a circle from yellow patterned paper with the largest circle die from the Double Stitch Design set by Gina K. for Therm O Web. That circle gives you the feel of a sunny Summer day and it is just a simple yet fun element to add. All the patterned papers used for this card come from the new Hello Summer paper collection by Simple Stories (my fav lately).
As always, I’ve included some very nice sentiments in these kits… I’m all about the sentiments and I hope you love these new kits as much as we do at Unity. Make sure to join the new release live video release party RIGHT NOW on Unity’s Facebook page and their blog hop for a chance to win some new stamps and see lots and lots of inspiration by the design team over at their blog.
Hey everyone! I’m SO happy to be back! YES, we are having a huge celebration today at Unity Stamp Co. with a brand new rubber stamp collection by Graciellie Design!!! We are collaborating today to make this blog hop even more amazing! Helen Gullett, Maria Pilar, Gloria Lee and Esther Asbury and I are joining Unity’s fabulous designers and we all have lots of beautiful stuff to show you today!
These were both colored with Kuretake Zig Clean Color Markers. For the backgrounds, I used a monoprinted and stenciled paper torned into pieces for my first card and a smooshed background using ink from the markers and some water for my second card. I really enjoyed coloring these stamps… I know I drew them (LOL) but in all honesty they are super fun to work with and I know you would love to color them too!

I included 4 creative sentiments in this set and I decided to print one of them -“Sending extra caffeinated wishes”- to create a banner which I then added behind the image and across my card front. I love the overall look of this card and I hope you like it too!

Hola! Yes, you read right… I am back after a short hiatus with a surprise release in Spanish (check it out HERE) that I have been dreaming of for quite some time! You will be seeing some extraordinary and inspiring samples using stamps from 3 new sets in Spanish. Make sure to join the hop for a chance to win a $15 gift card!
The Story behind this new Collection
As you may know I am Latin American and Spanish is actually my second language, so of course there will always be a connection with hispanic crafters around the world. On the other hand, our cardmaking community is always looking for stamp sets in different languages to create special projects for friends and maybe -just maybe- that could be your case. The idea behind this new collection is to bring more choices to the table for anyone who’s interested and would love to try out these new sets. Many are translations of sets that already exist in English and that is something I know my friends in Spain and Latin America will enjoy!
New Stamp Sets in Spanish
Our 3 new sets are some our our latest favorites from original GD digital stamp sets. We have translated all their sentiments and you can find them on the shop starting today as Momentos Felices, Belleza Verdadera and Sé Tú Misma.
Starting today you will be able to find many inspiration projects in Spanish on our Facebook page created by some fabulous designers from all over the world. Today I will be introducing them through this blog hop together with our friends from Retarte who will be sharing their take on these new stamp line in a special blog hop.
I created a card with lots of sparkle using and splashes of color. I printed the flowers on Mixed Media paper on a Laser Printer and then ran them through the laminator with a sheet of Gold Shattered Glass Deco Foil. I colored the flowers with Distress Stain Sprays in Coral and Pink and then inked the leaves with a little green Distress Ink. The foil resists the inks and sprays creating contrast and lots of sparkle on the colored flowers.
